Sahara - Balochi Sling Bag

This authentic Banjara sling bag is crafted from vintage Balochi yokes, locally known as ‘galas’, that once adorned the beautiful traditional dresses of Balochi tribal women. Hand-embroidered by the women themselves, these fabrics symbolised identity, protection, and status within the community.

Each bag is one of a kind, showcasing unique geometric motifs, vibrant embroidery, and mirrorwork. Because these pieces are made from vintage fabrics and embellishments, they carry the quiet marks of time — missing mirrors, loose threads, faint blemishes — a true reflection of the many journeys they have travelled before being upcycled into an authentic Banjara bag.

• Vintage 25-paise coins from Lambani Banjara community

• One main zip pocket and a smaller zip pocket inside

• Use a lint roller to gently remove dust from fabrics, leather handles, fringes, and straps.
  
• For light stains on fabric or to clean mirrors, dab gently with a soft damp cloth or cotton bud.
  
• Store indoors in a clean, dry place, away from dust and moisture; place filler material (like newspaper) inside to help retain shape.

 Because of this, we do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons of change of mind, preference, colour differences from website images or minor imperfections (such as loose threads, missing mirrors, uneven embroidery or small marks picked up from the desert journeys of these textiles). These are not flaws but part of the fabric’s story. Every authentic Banjara bag carries these.

• That said, if you receive an order that is missing, damaged in transit or has a genuine defect that makes it unusable, we’ll happily assist you.

Important details:

• Domestic orders are eligible for both returns/exchanges, but the customer bears the shipping cost of sending the item back to us.
  
• International Orders are eligible for returns provided the customer bears the shipping cost of sending the item back to us. After thorough inspection, a refund will be issued in the form of store credit only.
  
• International orders are not eligible for exchanges.
  
• Orders where modifications have been made and sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.
  
• The item(s) must be unused, with all tags and original packaging intact.
  
• As our bags are all one-of-a-kind, exact replacements will not be possible. In such cases, we’ll offer you store credit or help you choose a similar style.
  
• Refunds or Exchange (if approved) will be issued once we receive and inspect the returned item in the form of store credit. 
  
• The store credit is valid for 365 days.
  
• Each order is eligible for a return only once. Orders placed using a Store Credit are not eligible for any returns.
